Rodrigo Alonso Martins is CEO and founder of Ripol Alliance, a Miami-based Multi-Family Office, and Head of International Taxation and Wealth Planning at Ronaldo Martins & Advogados (Brazil).
Born in 1981 in São Paulo, he holds a degree in Economics from PUC-SP and a degree in Law from FMU. In 2006, he specialized in American Law at the University of California, Davis School of Law, marking the beginning of his international career. With over 20 years of experience, Martins has consolidated his work in the areas of wealth planning, succession and international taxation. He worked at HSBC Private Bank, in Geneva and in Brazil, as a Wealth Planner for Latin America. In 2015, he founded Ripol Alliance, a company that advises clients on wealth management, investments and business development. In compliance with American regulations, Ripol Alliance offers a complete portfolio for Brazilian and foreign families, with legal curation by RONALDO MARTINS & Advogados, a firm with 35 years of tradition and presence in Brazil and abroad. In Brazil, Ripol Alliance has XP Investimentos as its financial arm, one of the largest financial institutions in the country.
Having lived in the United States for almost 10 years now, Martins combines a solid academic background with a practical career. His specializations include MBA in Business Management and Company Valuation (FIA), International Tax Law (IBDT), Mergers & Acquisitions (IICS/Vanderbilt), Taxation of Financial and Capital Markets (ABDF) and Private Wealth Management (Wharton). He has also taken courses at renowned institutions such as INSPER and Berkeley, in addition to international certifications in tax and succession planning, corporate governance and strategic management.
Throughout his career, he has received several recognitions and awards in the areas of wealth planning, financial management and law. In 2020, he won nine awards, including: Business Families Solicitor of the Year USA, Ripol Alliance Best in Legal Equity Protection Consulting – Florida and South America Business Awards – Tax Lawyers of the Year – Southeast Brazil. In 2021, he was elected one of the 10 most prominent business leaders in Brazil, standing out in international taxation and wealth and succession planning, being awarded by the Global Business Insight Awards 2021.
In 2022, he received the Global Awards – International Law and Finance and the Global Awards – International Tax Advisers of the Year. In 2023 and 2024, he was recognized by Lawyers of Distinction – Distinguished Lawyer in International Law and Most Influential Lawyers 2024.
His future plans include continuing to make Ripol Alliance a reference in wealth planning and international taxation, assisting clients in the efficient and safe structuring of their assets on the global stage.
